Matthew 2:1-11 – Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem
Holy Week is here and is the highpoint of the Christian story. Christians are encouraged to live this week as if we were there 2000+ years ago as it moves from the shouts of ‘hosanna’ on Palm Sunday to ‘Crucify Him’ and the emptiness and despair of Good Friday.
As Jesus experienced during Holy Week, we can experience a rollercoaster of emotions in life going from joy to sorry. That is why the Mission to Seafarers in imitating Jesus cares for seafarers spiritual, emotional and practical needs in whatever way we can, to be there for them, helping in practical ways, to listen, and otherwise free them from the things which consume their happiness.
The cleric and theologian John Wesley said “Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can ,at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as you can. Amen
