Shore leave for seafarers is not automatic, reasons include such as limited time in port, inspections, duty schedules.

Onboard seafarers depend on each other to do their jobs well and safely. They also look to each other in ways that improve life onboard, like when it comes to shore leave. The work ‘duty’ schedule onboard can limit sleep and time ashore so crew will exchange hours to enable both sleep and relaxation.

May God bless you in your endeavours.
