After the hard work of Santa's helpers we the Chaplains once again took to the high seas ( English Bay) on TYMAC FORCE ( Rudolph) and brought the Christmas gifts made possible by the generosity of individuals, churches, community groups and the maritime industry to the well deserved seafarers.
It is a fun day to do something for seafarers who work hard, under challenging conditions far away from loved ones and their home communities.
All said and done we gave out across the Port of Vancouver approx 1550 gifts to seafarers on 71 ships.
Seafarers deserve a lot more recognition for the work they do and we continue to pray for them and we pray that industry and others who implement and push for positive change will play their part so that being a seafarer is a fulfilling and safe career.
A HAPPY CREW IS A HAPPY SHIP
